It is used to connect a 9V battery to the application. This snap power cable to DC 9V clip male line battery adapter for mostly used to power Arduino boards.

The connector comes with open wire at one end and battery connector at another end. It is very good practice to use such connector in the project as they provide various benefit such as avoid short circuits, No chance of mismatch polarity as wire comes in red and Black colour, optimum battery use, easy to connect and disconnect the battery to the application etc.
